Business Language Training for Executives

COURSE NUMBER: LC-02


This course consists of ‘one to one’ training sessions at least twice per week which are designed strictly for busy executives who want to have individual lessons tailored to their specific linguistic skills and business requirements - banking, marketing, logistics, etc.

Course Objective

The purpose of this Course is to ensure that the client hears and speaks only the target language on an undisturbed basis for a minimum of 60-minutes during each lesson.
The instruction is designed to help the client quickly learn terminology and grammar so he or she will be more comfortable (fluent) in everyday business and social situations – listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as appropriate for specific situation.

Assumptions

It is assumed that the participant already has a good knowledge of the language and now desires to improve his or her comprehension and speaking skills.

Course Curriculum

The course will consist mainly of Conversation Activities, Grammar and Vocabulary Building Exercises, and Listening Comprehension, as appropriate. Video Films and Cassette Tapes, if appropriate to the lesson objectives, may also be used to present sample business conversations (telephone calls, etc.).

Course Materials Provided

Textbooks, Teacher Handouts (Reading Articles, Worksheets, etc.).

Prerequisites

Student(s) should already have reached the intermediate level of the target language.

Additional Communication Skills Training

Course LC-01 - Advanced Language Skills Training
Designed to help individuals or small groups increase their business vocabulary and improve their grammar and fluency. (Two sessions per week for a total of 30 hours)

Course LC-01B - Business Language Immersion Course
Full immersion course (8 to 10 hours per day) for individuals or groups. Ensures that the client(s) hear and speak only the target language on an undisturbed basis away from their office and normal working language. (40 to 50 hours).
