TEAM INTEGRATION MANAGEMENT

COURSE NUMBER: MT-04A
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Course Objectives

Leaders often recognize the challenge of getting people to change only after implementation has started. The new approach is expected to go in unopposed but when confusion or misunderstandings arise, the project team has to scramble to do some patch up communication – often with poor results. But despite this reality, there is still a bias against investing in team integration activities because they aren’t seen as a prime objective for the new program or project.

At the session’s conclusion, participants will have an understanding of the process of change and how they can become a positive force in driving that change by developing their own best practices for developing and implementing changes within their organization.

Course Contents

  • Top Mistakes Made by Organizations when Implementing Change
  • Managing Change -- Dealing with Resistance To Change
  • Top Ways to Embrace and Create Change in Your Organization
  • The 10 Commandments to Achieving Organizational Goals
  • Organizational Change - Four Key Management Strategies for Leaders
  • How to Align Change Strategy with Organizational Personality
  • Developing the Collaborative Intelligence of Your Team
  • Strategies for Managing Change - Get People Talking
  • Suggestions for Taking Your Organization to the Next Level with Change Management
  • A Seven Steps Model for Sustaining Organizational Success through Creative Thinking

Training Method

One or two days are proposed depending on the needs of the participants – leaders or team members, etc. The one-day training provides an overview of topics selected from the above list and gives the participants a chance to interact in role-play activities and to brain-storm ideas for improving relationships and understanding. The two-day training is a more in-depth training with additional discussions and also provides time for the participants to practice goal-setting and create their own team-building strategies for when they return to work.
